Asking for forgiveness in Islam is to ask Allah for forgiveness sincerely and do not get involved in any sin again. If you are seeking forgiveness for the past and willing to continue a sin, then it's not worth it. So seek for forgiveness sincerely. Allah knows the best. May Allah accept our duas and forgive us All. It is an excellent practice to ask forgiveness from the people whom you have a directory with. Even if you had them with your words.

It's not a part of Umrah, but it's a practical need for everyone to check in the hotel before entering the masjid Al haram. You must be in the state of abolition to perform tawaf and sai. So take ablution. Remember You are in the state of ihram.

Read things that break the state of ihram.

Enter the Masjid Al haram

Recite the following as soon as you reach Masjid Al Haram. Read this article to get familiar with masjid Al haram and read this to know more about Kaaba.

After reading the above, you are now going to see the Kaaba. There is practice to ask a special dua from Allah at your first sight of Kaaba, though there is no authentic hadeeth to support this. Many Muslims are practising this. But in any case, you should only worship Allah and only ask from Allah.

Remember you are entering the Masjid two performing Tawaf. If you want to enter the area which is right next to a Kaaba on the ground floor or you want to perform Tawaf at the first floor.

Ask a Dua at your first sight of Kaaba

It has been a practice to ask for dua or wish at your first sight of Kaaba. There is no evidence of any of these practices. But it is Allah's wish, and he has invited to the house of Allah. Alhamdulillah. Praise Allah for the opportunity he has given you.

Perform Tawaf

Be familiarized with Kaaba before performing tawaf. Read my Article on Kaaba to understand more about  Kaaba . You must be familiar with the landmarks near Kaaba. Take a look at the picture below for reference.

Keep niyyat for performing tawaf. recite "Allahumma inni uridu tawafa baithakal haram tawafal umrati lillahi ta'ala"

Tawaf is to circumambulate around Kaaba for 7 times. Tawaf starts from Hajar Al Aswad and finishes at the same point after circumambulating 7 rounds. This corner will be lighted green, and there will be brown floor titles to indicate the corner already. Men must walk fast in the first three rounds. This act is called raml.

Start from the Hajr-al-Aswad corner point towards Hajr al Aswad and recite Bismillahi Allahu Akbar

You can recite any corner to the Yemeni corner. The fourth kalima is highly recommended. when you reach Yemeni corner, recite        "rabbana atina fidunya hasanathaw wa fil akhiroti hasanathaw waqina 'adzabannaar"

Start your next round starting from January already aswad corner saying " Bismillahi Allahu Akbar"  and in recite  "Rabbana atina fiddunya hasanah wa fil akhiroti hasanah waqina 'adzabannaar"  between the yemani corner and hajr al aswad corner.

You will have 7 rounds and finish with reciting  " Bismillahi Allahu Akbar"  at the "hajr al aswad corner.

Perform two rakaths behind the Makaamu Ibrahim. You do not have to pray right behind Makaamu Ibrahim. Recite Surat al kaafiroon in the first Rakatth followed by surat al fathiha and Recite surat al Ikhlas followed by al fathiha in the second.

Please leave space for the people who are performing tawafs. If you do, they may even walk on you because they can't see you during your visit.

Drink Zamzam

Once you are finished with tawaf drink Zamzam water as much as you want. As for the time being the wall is closed for maintenance and to prevent contamination. Therefore it is not visible. There are taps and brown water containers filled with water. Paper cups available near the container.

note: IF you are prone to catching flu, cough or sore throat avoid drinking cold water.

Perform Sai

Keep niyyat for performing sai. recite "Allahumma inni uridu an as’a bainas safaa wal marwata sa’yal umrati lillahi ta'ala"

Now you have to walk to mount safe to perform Sai. Sai is an act of walking between mount Safa to mount Marwah 7 times. You will start from mount Safa and finish in mount Marwa.

Start at Safa and face Kaaba

There is a green-lighted area where men need to run or speed walk.

  1. Safa to Marwa
  2. Marwah to safa
  3. Safa to Marwa
  4. Marwah to safa

Hadeeth's related Umrah

Hadith no: 820
Narrated / Authority Of: Nafi
Ibn Umar used to spend the night at Dhi-Tuwa in between the two Thaniyas and then he would enter Mecca through the Thaniya which is at the higher region of Mecca, and whenever he came to Mecca for Hajj or Umra, he never made his she camel kneel down except near the gate of the Masjid (Sacred Mosque) and then he would enter (it) and go to the Black (stone) Corner and start from there circumambulating the Kaaba seven times: hastening in the first three rounds (Ramal) and walking in the last four. On finishing, he would offer two Rakat prayer and set out to perform Tawaf between Safa and Marwa before returning to his dwelling place. On returning (to Medina) from Hajj or Umra, he used to make his camel kneel down at Al-Batha which is at Dhu-l-Hulaifa, the place where the Prophet used to make his camel kneel down.

Hadith no: 821
Narrated / Authority Of: Khalid bin Al-Harith
Ubaidullah was asked about Al Mahassab. Ubaidullah narrated: Nafi said, 'Allah's Apostles, 'Umar and Ibn 'Umar camped there." Nafi added, "Ibn Umar used to offer the Zuhr and Asr prayers at it (i.e. Al-Mahassab)." I think he mentioned the Maghrib prayer also. I said, "I don't doubt about 'Isha' (i.e. he used to offer it there also), and he used to sleep there for a while. He used to say, 'The Prophet used to do the same.' "

Narrated / Authority Of: Zaid bin Jubair
I went to visit 'Abdullah bin Umar at his house which contained many tents made of cotton cloth and these were encircled with Suradik (part of the tent). I asked him from where, should one assume Ihram for Umra. He said, "Allah's Apostle had fixed as Miqat (singular of Mawaqit) Qarn for the people of Najd, Dhul-Hulaifa for the people of Medina, and Al-Juhfa for the people of Sham."

Narrated / Authority Of: Al-Qasim bin Muhammad
'Aisha said, "O Allah's Apostle! You performed 'Umra but I did not." He said, "O 'Abdur-Rahman! Go along with your sister and let her perform 'Umra from Tan'im." 'Abdur-Rahman made her ride over the pack-saddle of a she-camel and she performed 'Umra.

Narrated / Authority Of: Ibn Abbas
The people of Yemen used to come for Hajj and used not to bring enough provisions with them and used to say that they depend on Allah. On their arrival in Medina they used to beg the people, and so Allah revealed, "And take a provision (with you) for the journey, but the best provision is the fear of Allah." (2.197).

Narrated / Authority Of: Ibn Abbas
Allah's Apostle (p.b.u.h) made Dhul-Huiaifa as the Miqat for the people of Medina; Al-Juhfa for the people of Sham; Qarn-al-Manazil for the people of Najd; and Yalamlam for the people of Yemen; and these Mawaqit are for the people at those very places, and besides them for those who come thorough those places with the intention of performing Hajj and 'Umra; and whoever is living within these boundaries can assume lhram from the place he starts, and the people of Mecca can assume Ihram from Mecca.

Narrated / Authority Of: Ibn Umar
Allah's Apostle used to go (for Hajj) via Ash-Shajara way and return via Muarras way; and no doubt, whenever Allah's Apostle went to Mecca, he used to offer the prayer in the Mosque of Ash-Shajara; and on his return, he used to offer the prayer at Dhul-Hulaifa in the middle of the valley, and pass the night there till morning.

Narrated / Authority Of: Nafi
Whenever Ibn 'Umar intended to go to Mecca he used to oil himself with a sort of oil that had no pleasant smell, then he would go to the Mosque of Al-Hulaita and offer the prayer, and then ride. When he mounted well on his Mount and the Mount stood up straight, he would proclaim the intention of assuming Ihram, and he used to say that he had seen the Prophet doing the same.

Narrated / Authority Of: Abdullah bin Umar
The Talbiya of Allah's Apostles were: 'Labbaika Allahumma labbaik, Labbaika la sharika Laka labbaik, Inna-l-hamda wan-ni'mata Laka walmu Lk, La sharika Laka' (I respond to Your call O Allah, I respond to Your call , and I am obedient to Your orders, you having no partner, I RESPOND to Your call All the praises and blessings are for you, All the sovereignty is for you, and you having no partner with you.
